What is Kibor?
The Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) is the rate at which banks in Pakistan are willing to lend funds to each other in the interbank money market. It is published daily by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) across a range of tenors — from Overnight up to 5 Years.
KIBOR is the most widely used benchmark in Pakistan's financial system. It is used to price corporate loans, term finance certificates, floating-rate instruments, Treasury products and a wide range of derivative contracts.
